The 2010 Young Leaders Training Programme (YLTP IX) is expected to start in March. This year more than 65 applicants turned out for the eligibility test where 28 participants were selected to join the programme. Due to the fact that opportunity comes with challenges, it is our sincere hope that the selected participants will be able to face the challenges and fulfill their leadership dreams!

The Political Handbook & NGO Calendar was published this month. The distribution to our partners in Tanzania and in Europe is going on. An online version is already available in the digital bibliotheca of the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation.
December 2009
The YLTP-Team was pleased to honor the best participants of this year's programme at the graduation.
The programme was once more a great success and will be continued in the next year with the YLTP IX.
At the end of the year our project officer Wilman Kapenjama terminated his work for the FES Tanzania.
We wish him all the best for his future.

The project is handed over. During the celebration of our second Partner's Day in 2009, the Resident Director Mr. Peter Haeussler handed over his duties to Dr. Stefan Chrobot. Hon. Pius Msekwa, deputy chairperson of CCM was the guest of honor. He found the right words to welcome the new Director as well as to say goodbye to the outgoing one.
