Tanzania hosts Africa’s highest and lowest point – the Kilimanjaro with 5,895 meters and Lake Tanganyika with a maximum depth of 1,470 meters. Lake Victoria, situated in the north, is the continent's largest lake, the largest tropical lake in the world, and the second largest fresh water lake in the world in terms of surface area. Tanzania, famous for the Serengeti National Park and the “ Cradle of Mankind – The Oldovai Gorge” , has a rich cultural heritage. More than 120 different ethnic groups live peacefully in this country, speaking over 120 different languages and dialects in addition to the country’s national language Kiswahili.
